TWO PARTS
Made of a bit of hardware and a lot of software, Two Parts is a design realization machine. It converts ideas into real-life products and moves them around the world. Like most machines, it evolves with technology in hopes of increasing its capabilities while shrinking in physical size and requiring man- hours. Christo Logan built two Parts to support his design habit.
In 2016, Two Parts’ 3D printed ceramic pendants won the Good Design Award and top honors from Blueprint Magazine, Architectural Record, World Interiors News, Exhibitor Magazine, FDA, IDA, and ICFF.
In 2017, due to the production limitations of additive manufacturing and assembly in a spare bedroom, Two Parts began reinventing the pendants using new materials and mass manufacturing processes.
In 2019, Two Parts launched its second-generation pendants. Playing off the original shapes, the new series expands its optical palette by casting premium polymers of varying opacities.
